Description of performance
I navigate my way through the various spaces of the club venue 'Central Station' for the event ACTART 4 (a multi-media & live art event) with eyes closed and graphic painted eyes stuck onto my lids. I manoeuvre through the space by touch, speaking and listening to the audience.
I cannot see where I am going; I must touch and hold surfaces and the bodies of people I encounter. I am vulnerable to being touched and directed (mishandled, misdirected) by audience members or other artists working in the spaces. I do not open my eyes but my face gives the startling appearance of wide-open staring eyes.
Duration of piece
All night or until the piece becomes unworkable because of unforeseen audience reaction.
