What Remains

Victoria Mc Cormack is a visual artist based in Galway. Performance is at the core of her work with video, sound and installation stemming from the live action. In 2005, she graduated from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology with a BA in Fine Art. In 2006, she had a solo show in NUI Galway Gallery as part of the Galway Arts Festival. Victoria has performed in The Galway Arts Centre, Ard Bia Gallery and in Belfast as part of In Place of Passing with BBeyond.

What Remains is a new performance work devised for Tulca Live 07 by artist Victoria Mc Cormack. Victoria uses performance to convey inarticulate emotional conflicts: this new work involves exploring an isolated moment in death, a gesture half-remembered. The performance features an original sound score composed by Mike Smalle (cane141).
