MART, (MEDIA ART), is a recently formed artist collective in Galway, Ireland. Our primary aim is to create a platform for New Media, Installation and Performance artists to showcase their work. This is achieved through setting up temporary gallery spaces in accessible city centre locations and via an interactive visual arts online gallery. The ethos of Mart is inclusion of the public and promotion of media art.

MART@TULCA is a Free Art event on the streets of Galway using a mobile unit carrying Art in parcels. MART artists have donated art pieces-DVDs (video Art), drawings, written word to Art Cart. The audience is invited to come and accept a gift from the MART cart.The focus is on the audience and creating an energy and curiosity within the public towards art. A sense of fun and approachability is essential to MART.
